Young Edinburgh woman reported missing with police growing increasingly concerned
Maryam was reported missing on July 20
A woman has been reported missing from Edinburgh after growing concerns for her welfare.
According to Edinburgh Live, police in the capital city of Scotland have issued an urgent missing person’s appeal to help trace Maryam Arshad, 24, who was last seen on Wednesday, July 20.
According to the officers, the young woman was last seen in the Ferry Road area of Edinburgh at around 4.45pm but has not been heard from since.
She is described as five foot seven inches tall, with long dark hair worn in a ponytail.
She was wearing a pink lightweight summer jacket with maroon top underneath and patterned trousers with small flowers on them when she was seen the last time. She was also carrying a small black cross body black bag.
Inspector Caroline Flynn said, “We are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of a Maryam and would ask her to get in contact. Anyone who knows where she is, is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 3581 of 20 July.”
Maryam has now been found safe and police have stopped their search for her, according to reports.
