The Apprentice winner reveals opening of new dessert parlour in Bradford

Winner of this year’s ‘The Apprentice’ series, Harpreet Kaur, is finally opening her much-awaited dessert parlour in Bradford.

The young businesswoman emerged the winner after she showcased her talent in the BBC series and managed to impress business magnate Lord Alan Sugar with her business plans to open her dream dessert shop.

Kaur, who described herself as a ‘born leader, fearless and funny’ in the series, announced the opening of the parlour on her Instagram page, giving a sneak peek into the how the store, named ‘Oh So Yum’, will look like and its exteriors which has been painted bright pink in colour.

Kaur appears in the video with her sister Gurvinder, who is the co-owner of the business and says, “We are so excited. This shop is going to be bigger than ever.

Downstairs we will be serving waffles, crepes and our famous cookie cups.

Upstairs I’ll be working away upstairs in our new head office with the rest of the team.

I cannot wait to come and see you hear and for you to come and see the transformation.”

Oh So Yum has already opened its doors to customers in Huddersfield and the White Rose Centre in Leeds, along with a busy delivery service. The new Bradford store is said to be opening in White Abbey Road.

Kaur, who managed to largely be on the winning team’s side in the 12-week-long series and was never taken to the dreaded boardroom to be interrogated by Lord Sugar, revealed that she plans to expand her already successful venture in coffee and cakes business across the UK and make it a leading brand in the country.

In The Apprentice, the young entrepreneur also said that she was “motivated by her need to be the best version of herself and is ready to be Lord Sugar’s next business partner.”

She also told Lord Sugar in the final episode, “I’ve already got a successful business, I can do sales, I can negotiate hard and I can lead others.

I have big plans and I want to accelerate my growth and this is going to supercharge me to do that.”

Kaur then emerged as the winner and took home a handsome sum of £250,000 investment money. The opening date of the Bradford branch of Oh So Yum has not been announced yet, but it is set to be revealed soon.
