Popular British Asian singer of the nineties, Taz, dies at 54

Musician Tarsame Singh Saini popularly known as Taz has died at the age of 54. The music legend had a long career spanning 35 years with many hit songs under his belt.
Taz, who created music with a fusion of British pop and South Asian tunes, inspired many British Asians back in the day. He pioneered a new genre of Brit-Asian music and became widely recognised in the 90s across the UK.
The London-based singer’s health had constantly been deteriorating this year and he was rushed to the hospital in March. Ultimately he went into a coma and breathed his last on 29 April. Taz was the lead singer of the band Stereo Nation. He had also sung for popular Bollywood films like Koi Mil Gaya, Tum Bin, and Batla House.
Many of his fans across the world were devastated to hear the news and expressed their condolences on social media.
