PM Rishi Sunak’s political adviser honoured with an MBE

Ameet Jogia, who is currently Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s political adviser at No 10, has been honoured with an MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire), according to reports.
Jogia, who has been a leading activist for the Tory party for over 20 years, received the honour for his services to politics and public service. He is also one of the last people to have been selected for the British order of chivalry by Her Majesty The Queen last year, a statement released by the Buckingham Palace mentioned.
At the investiture ceremony, he was cheered on by his wife Priya Jogia, his father-in-law Deepak Jatania who was the former president of Lohana community north London, and his political mentor Lord Dolar Popat.
He is a councillor in Harrow, serving as a magistrate and school governor, and started his journey in politics at the young age of 16. He joined as a political aide to Lord Popat in Westminster, and provided assistance to him in the House of Lords as a minister and trade envoy for almost 15 years.
In December 2022, PM Sunak appointed him as his political adviser, after which he joined No 10. He is also co-chair of the Conservative Friends of India, which is the party’s largest affiliate member group.
