Pakistani psychological thriller Psycho set for Eid-ul-Adha release
Posted On May , 2026
Psycho, a film by Red Lipstick Productions, is scheduled for release in cinemas on May 27, 2026, coinciding with Eid-ul-Adha.
Described as a psychological thriller, Psycho explores the human mind, looking at how perception, emotion, power, and personal desire can influence behaviour and push people toward moral and psychological limits.
Centred on the idea that “the real enemy lives in the mind,” the film has generated discussion in media, universities, entertainment circles, and digital platforms in Pakistan and internationally.
Suleman Butt, producer, said: “We aim to showcase Pakistani cinema globally through emotionally powerful, socially reflective, and relatable stories.”
The cast includes Shaan Shahid, Meera, Sonia Hussyn, Javed Sheikh, Nayyar Ijaz, Shabbir Jan, and Adnan Butt.
Earlier this year, a teaser for Psycho was shown at London’s O2 Arena, attracting attention from international audiences.
Shield, who is both the director and acts in the film, said: “Psycho is not built around surface-level storytelling.
“It explores the space where perception, emotion, and reality begin to collide.”
With its psychological themes, dialogue-driven approach, and growing international visibility, Psycho has become one of the Pakistani films to watch ahead of Eid-ul-Adha 2026.
