Leeds schoolboy has an IQ higher than geniuses Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking

A young British Muslim schoolboy from Leeds has made headlines after it was revealed that he has an IQ higher than that of world-renowned physicists – Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking.

Eleven-year-old Yusuf Shah scored 162 in the Mensa Test which is the highest possible score for under-18s. He told The Mirror that he took the test after constantly being told that he was very smart by his friends.

The year six student said, ““I have always wanted to know if I was in the top two percent of people who take the test.

“It feels special to have a certificate for me and about me.”

English theoretical physicist, Stephen Hawking, scored 160 in the test, while Einstein, who was a German theoretical physicist, did not officially give the test but is believed to have scored the same.

After the scores were revealed, Shah and his family celebrated together at Nando’s.

He, along with his brothers Zaki and Khalid, hope to study at the University of Oxford, an aspiration that their parents agree will make them proud.

Shah’s mother Sana, said, “I was so proud. He is the first person to take the Mensa test in the family. We thought he might be intimidated by the adults at the centre. But he did brilliantly.

“I still tell him that, ‘Your dad is still smarter than you’.

“We take it all light heartedly.”
