Family music extravaganza in Bradford to raise funds towards Pakistan flood relief effort

A delightful evening of beautiful music, spoken word performance, and an array of street food and other stalls is set to take place at The Bradford Hotel on Saturday, 8 October from 6pm to 11pm.
The purpose of the event is to raise funds for the Pakistan emergency floods relief effort and the money will be used to provide much needed shelter and aid to those who are vulnerable and in need of immediate help.
All the donations made during the night will be sent to Families Relief, an international charity that provides emergency aid across the world. A raffle is also being organised with some spectacular prizes to be won, all for this very important cause.
The event is being hosted by Shannaz Zahoor of Moonlight Productions and Abda Khan, a writer by profession.
Shannaz Zahoor is the founder of Moonlight Productions, based in Bradford. She is also an accredited ICAHT Hijama Practitioner, and runs a number of small businesses (including La-Roob Ethnic Wear and Ladybird Cleaning). Additionally, she is the Bradford Co-Ordinator of Islamic Society of Britain. She is a community activist, and charity volunteer, and has been responsible for fundraising, organising events, co-ordinating volunteers, seeing to food deliveries for those in need, and has helped with efforts in relation to the needs of refugees.
Abda Khan is a Bradford born lawyer turned writer, now based in the West Midlands. She is the author of the novels ‘Stained’ and ‘Razia’. She is also a public speaker, event host, project creator and director, creative writing tutor, mentor, and campaigner. She is a Lloyds Bank Women of the Future Ambassador, a Desi Blitz Arts Ambassador, was Highly Commended in the Nat West Asian Women of Achievement Awards 2017, and she won British Muslim Woman of the Year 2019.
