British Indian actor, Himesh Patel, steps the Emmys red carpet as a nominee for the first time

Cambridgeshire-born actor of Indian origin, Himesh Patel, was all smiles at the Emmy Awards held on Tuesday after making it to the shortlist of nominees for the very first time.
Patel was nominated in the Best Actor, Limited Series or TV Movie category for his role in HBO’s Station Eleven as Jeevan Chaudhary, A former paparazzo, turned entertainment journalist, turned EMT, in the show.
On the Emmys red carpet, he was seen wearing a patterned suit jacket with a black shirt and black pants.
Born on October 13, 1990, Patel is best known for portraying several characters including Tamwar Masood on the BBC soap opera EastEnders from 2007 to 2016. He also starred in the 2019 musical romantic comedy film Yesterday, the 2020 science fiction action film Tenet and opposite Leonardo DiCaprio in the film Don’t Look Up. Born and brought up in Sawtry, Cambridgeshire, Himesh’s parents are both immigrants of Gujarati origin but they were born in Africa. His mother was born in Zambia and his father in Kenya.
