Bolton Mosque invites people of all religions and background for Iftar meal

Bolton’s largest mosque, the Zakariyya Jaam’e Masjid recently invited people of all backgrounds and faiths to the Iftar (fast-breaking) event in an effort towards making them understand what the holy month of Ramadan entails and its importance.
During the event, Maulana Talha of the mosque gave a talk about the importance of Ramadan and gave the guests a tour of the mosque followed by an Iftar meal.
The event was held in partnership with the Bolton Council of Mosques (BCOM) and was attended by many guests like the Leader of the Council, Councillor Martyn Cox, Chief Executive of the Bolton Hospital, Fiona Noden, Assistant Director of the hospital, Rachel Hemingway, Yasmin Qureshi MP and Senior Coroner, Timothy Brennand. Representatives of the Greater Manchester Police and the local fire service were also in attendance.
