Bollywood film ‘Tehran’ to be shot across Glasgow resulting in closure of several streets

Actor John Abraham released the first look of the film ahead of starting the shoot
As filming of upcoming Bollywood action thriller film ‘Tehran’ begins in Glasgow, many commuters have been warned of road closures across the city.
The movie, which stars actor John Abraham in the lead role, is said to be a ‘geo-political thriller based on true-life events’ and supposed to bring in a lot of profit to the city.
Shooting begins on July 11 and the crew is set to wrap up on July 28. During this time, several streets will be shut, with people being told to plan their journeys in advance by the authorities. Access is, however, only given to emergency services and vehicles allowed to be used upon permission by the council chiefs.
A spokesman for Glasgow City Council said, “Roads affected, and dates and times of restrictions apply to all vehicles, with the exception of an emergency service vehicle carrying out an emergency response or vehicles given permission from Glasgow City Council filming and events section.”
Many routes will be affected due to the film shoot including King Street between Osborne Street and Bridgegate from 3pm on 11 July until 11.30pm the following day. People will be barred from entering New Wynd between Parnie Street and Osborne Street from 10am until 11.30pm on Tuesday. Vehicles will not be allowed to enter Osborne Street between King Street and Stockwell Street from 7pm until 11.30pm on the same day.

More streets will be closed at different times in Glasgow while the film is being shot.
