Ben Goldsmith and Jemima Khan host a star-studded dinner in London to raise funds for Pakistan flood relief

English financier Ben Goldsmith and his sister Jemima Khan recently hosted a special fundraising dinner to help make contributions towards Pakistan flood relief efforts.
The dinner, which was hosted at the Michelin-starred Benares Mayfair, saw more than 100 guests including prominent public figures like the Mayor of London Sadiq Khan, Fatima Bhutto, Noreen Khan, Sam Naz, Zeeshan Shah and Aatif Nawaz.
The event helped the hosts raise £150,000 which will be donated to UNICEF and the Pakistan Environment Trust.
Jemima Khan said, “The Pakistan floods have been on such a devastating scale that it’s difficult to comprehend, with 33 million people affected and over 7.9 million people displaced.
“As a UNICEF Ambassador for more than 20 years, I am helping to raise vital funds to support the children and families affected by this catastrophe, and the Pakistan Environment Trust, founded by my brother Ben, is working to combat climate change in a country that faces some of the most challenging effects of the global environmental crisis.
“What these two great causes need more than ever is financial support, so Ben and I are pleased to be able to raise awareness and much-needed funds for the people of Pakistan.”
The event was also graced by the presence of the cast and crew of What’s Love Got to Do With it?, which included Mim Shaikh, Jeff Mirza, Iman Boujelouah, Naughty Boy and Nitin Sawhney.What’s Love Got to Do With It? is a British romantic comedy-drama film written and produced by Jemima Khan, and directed by Shekhar Kapur. It stars Lily James, Shazad Latif, Emma Thompson, Shabana Azmi and Sajal Aly and will release in cinemas nationwide on 24 February with exclusive music by Naughty Boy, Nitin Sawhney and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan
