Blackburn Rovers to become the first football club to hold Eid prayers
As Eid draws closer, Blackburn Rovers Football Club has announced that it will host Eid prayers at its stadium, making it the first football club ever to do so.
The prayers are set to take place from 9 am at Ewood Park as the month-long period of Ramadan ends in May. As part of a series of events under the #OneRovers campaign that will take place at the park, the celebration is expected to be attended by over a 1000 people belonging to various age groups.
Recently, the football club’s community trust also provided food hampers to 200 vulnerable families for Ramadan in a partnership with Asda and Benefit Mankind.
