The SikhLens Arts & Film Festival UK 2026 will take place in Leicester on Saturday, June 27, bringing together a day of films, performances, and discussions focused on South Asian and Sikh culture.
Supported by Leicester City Council and local ward councillors, the free festival is expected to attract more than 1,000 visitors to Judge Meadow College.
Bicky Singh, Global Head of SikhLens, said: “SikhLens exists to celebrate what our community has achieved, inspire the generation coming through, and bring everyone together through the universal languages of art and film.”
The programme will feature award-winning films, live performances, panel discussions, and appearances from figures in the arts, history, and engineering.
Gurinder Chadha OBE will present her documentary Queen Victoria & Maharaja Duleep Singh, with historian Peter Bance joining her for a live Q&A.
The Singh Twins will present artwork inspired by Jallianwala: Repression and Retribution, while engineer Bal Chode will appear alongside Crafting Legacy.
Other films in the programme include Mother Kili, Mitti, Perfectly Seasoned, Robe of Honour, and Gift of Light.
The festival will open with live Kirtan, children’s performances, and martial arts demonstrations, and will end with a Musical Fusion Dhamaka featuring vocalist Priti Kaur.
Dr Simranjeet Singh will present research on aircraft performance, and Nishkam Health Centre, Birmingham, will be recognised for its voluntary service.
Founded by Satinder Vir Singh (Bicky Singh), SikhLens says it aims to promote Sikh voices and cross-cultural dialogue through arts and film.
Organisers say the festival is intended to offer a space for reflection, learning, and cultural exchange, while all sessions are free and open to the public.
