Huddersfield brothers found guilty of the tragic murder of devoted father

A Huddersfield teenager played a role in assisting his friends in threatening a boy they went to school with, stemming from a dispute that began on Snapchat.
The youngsters later tragically murdered a father in a premeditated manner. Ayaan Sajid joined the now-infamous brothers, Sahil and Amaan Ansar, as they confronted the teenage boy at his residence following a Snapchat argument.
During the proceedings at Leeds Crown Court on Wednesday, Prosecutor Jeremy Barton explained, “The victim and defendants are known to one another and went to the same school. On 18th November 2021, there was an argument over Snapchat between Sahil Ansar and the victim.
“After that, that evening, the victim got a call from him asking him to come outside his home address. A short time later that evening, the three males [Sajid and the Ansar brothers] turned up outside. The three defendants were wearing medical masks of some sort to cover their faces. A verbal exchange took place on the doorstep which involved threats of violence.”
The trio were then invited inside the house where another heated verbal exchange took place, prompting the boy’s mother to call the police. After this, all three boys moved back outside and the situation was under control after they saw a delivery man approach the house.
According to reports, whilst approaching the house, the delivery man heard one of the teens say: “This ain’t finished, I will deal with you mother f*****.”
During the court proceedings, it was disclosed that Ayaan Sajid, 19, and residing at Thornfield Close in Lockwood, admitted guilt for his involvement in the affray. The Ansar brothers are scheduled to receive their sentencing today, which will encompass both their role in the affray and the murder of Khalfan Seif.
In August, the Ansar brothers were found guilty of the murder of Khalfan Seif, with Amaan Ansar also convicted of robbery. The jury, however, acquitted Sahil and his co-defendant Saif of the robbery charges. These verdicts were initially kept confidential until a verdict was reached for the murder charge against Saif. Ultimately, Saif was found not guilty of murder but was convicted of manslaughter.
The tragic incident occurred when Khalfan Seif, also known as Bafan, was fatally stabbed at his residence on Springdale Avenue on January 14 of the same year. Bafan was involved in the sale of cannabis, a Class B drug, from his kitchen to support his family. The Ansar brothers and their associate, Saif, were responsible for the man’s death, with Amaan Ansar entering the house and demanding Louise Dyson, Bafan’s wife, to surrender her mobile phone before they fled from the scene.
CCTV footage captured the moment Bafan and his family escaped their home, leading to his collapse. Despite undergoing emergency surgery, he tragically passed away 17 hours later.
