South Asian talk show coming to London

Following two acclaimed editions, The Filme Shilmy Show returns for its third installment, spotlighting the talents of actor and writer Aditya Rawal in an intimate, live-audience conversation hosted by entertainment journalist Anuj Radia.
The event will be held at Close-Up Film Centre, London, on Tuesday the 6th of May 2025 at 3pm and is co-produced by ReelN Ltd.
Since its foundation in 2018 by Anuj Radia, Filme Shilmy has evolved into becoming a popular, independent, online portal which covers the latest film news, reviews, features and interviews. The publication is dedicated in its no holds barred approach in presenting perspectives regarding the entertainment industry.
Though firmly rooted in its Indian background, the website transcends barriers through its coverage of cinema across various languages and countries. Features notable interviews with illustrious personalities including (but not limited to): including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Rani Mukerji, Priyanka Chopra, Madhuri Dixit, Zachary Levi, Vidya Balan, Riz Ahmed, The Russo Brothers and Gurinder Chadha.
In 2023, the outlet’s ethos of embracing culture and cinema progressed into launching its own chat show with ReelN Ltd called ‘The Filme Shilmy Show’.
The editions included esteemed guests like Rishi Rich, Veronica Mehta and Pravesh Kumar MBE, to name a few. The first of its kind in the UK, this in-person talk show which aims to bridge the gap between British audiences and South Asian talents from home and away. Filme Shilmy is a growing medium and in development for more exciting ventures.
Aditya, son of celebrated actor-writer Paresh Rawal and actress Swaroop Sampat, is fast emerging as one of India’s most compelling young voices in storytelling. A graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, Aditya has penned and performed in several acclaimed works across stage and screen. His credits include Bamfaad (ZEE5), Aar Ya Paar (Disney+ Hotstar), Faraaz (BFI London Film Festival) and Bambai Meri Jaan (Prime Video), alongside the award- nominated stage production Siachen and the prize-winning play The Queen.
His upcoming work includes new feature films and web series for Amazon, along with the independent film Past Tense, directed by Ananth Mahadevan.
A published author as well, Aditya has written children’s books such as The New Boy in Class and Tara Takes a Stand, both of which are part of the Australia Quality Education Program.
He has also taught creative writing workshops internationally, including at NYU and the London International School of Performing Arts.
The third edition of The Filme Shilmy Show promises an enriching conversation about Aditya’s dynamic journey, from writing and performing to navigating themes of legacy, identity and artistic autonomy.

Presented by Filme Shilmy in collaboration with ReelN Ltd, the talk show continues to serve as a cultural platform that elevates South Asian talent by connecting artists directly with UK audiences. Previous guests have included celebrated filmmakers Pravesh Kumar MBE, Nathalia Syam and Dr Parvinder Shergill, as well as British Asian music legends Rishi Rich and Veronica Mehta.
Anuj Radia is a prominent independent journalist based in the UK. Over his career, Anuj has interviewed some of the biggest names in Bollywood and Hollywood. He’s also worked with mainstream publications like Deadline Hollywood and has covered the prestigious Oscars in 2021. He is vocal about accurate cultural representations in the West, and LGBTQIA+ rights. He has also participated in campaigns for mental health awareness.
Furthermore, he regularly hosts Q&As for film festivals such as the London Indian Film Festival and the UK Asian Film Festival, frequently held at the high-profile BAFTA 195 and BFI. Anuj has also collaborated with prominent film companies like Zee Studios in hosting special consulate screenings of blockbuster Hindi movies at iconic venues like Vue Cinema Leicester Square. He has recently widened his experience in television appearing as a panellist for Zee TV and as a radio presenter.
