Riz Ahmed to announce 2023 Academy Awards nominations along with Allison Williams

British actor and rapper Riz Ahmed, who won his first Oscar last year for the short film The Long Goodbye, will be announcing the nominations for the 2023 Academy Awards along with American actress Allison Williams.
According to US-based entertainment news outlet The Hollywood Reporter, the nominations are scheduled to be revealed on 24 January at 8:30 a.m. ET/5:30 a.m. PT live from the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater.
This will be aired on BC’s Good Morning America, the ABC morning show announced on Wednesday, 18 January.
The nomination announcement will also be aired on Goodmorningamerica.com, ABC News Live, Disney+, Oscars.org, Oscar.com and the Academy’s social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook and YouTube.
Ahmed won his Oscar for best live-action short film, alongside director Aneil Karia in 2022. The British Pakistani actor has also been nominated previously for his performance in Sound of Metal. According to Indian Express, his other acclaimed roles include Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and the miniseries The Night Of, for which he was awarded an Emmy.
Williams is also an accomplished actress with performances in M3GAN, which she also was an executive producer on; HBO’s Girls, the Oscar-winning film Get Out and the TV movie Peter Pan Live!.
