Rangers FC announce partnership with All India Football Federation

Scottish professional football club, Ranger FC, has announced its new strategic and commercial partnership with All India Football Federation (AIFF). 

The AIFF is the official governing body of Indian football, is a part of FIFA and Asian Football Confederation as well as oversees all the major football teams and leagues in the country, including Indian National team, Indian Super League, I-League and the Super Cup. It also manages the women’s teams and youth national squads.

As part of the partnership, Rangers will provide support and training to thousands of Indian coaches in talent identification, scouting and analysis. Many AIFF coaches are set to travel to Glasgow and get one-on-one experience of coaching and training at Rangers.

Commercial & Marketing Director at Rangers, James Bisgrove, said, “The partnership with the AIFF, alongside our strong cooporation with Bengaluru FC, will provide a renewed focus to our activities in India, which is an integral pillar of the club’s international strategy. Indian football continues on a rapid growth trajectory and we’re excited by the potential commercial opportunities that are emerging.”

Technical Director and Head of Coach Education, AIFF, Savio Medeira also added, “The association with this historic club will add extreme value to our coach education programme, scouting processes, talent identification, and analysis amongst others, all in our endeavor to move forward together. The exchange of coach education programmes will benefit Indian football immensely as our coaches will be able to learn and interact with the best of the world.”
