Police Scotland release image of a man in connection with a knife-crime incident

The police have released a CCTV image of a man, whom they wish to speak to in connection with an Incident where he is seen assaulting and robbing an Edinburgh man on June 28, 2021.
The incident, which caused a lot of distress to the 22-year-old victim, occurred on Bruntsfield Crescent early in the morning. The attacker threatened him with a knife and stole his personal items.
Police have described the alleged perpetrator as Asian, in his late teens to early 20s, around 5ft 9 to 5ft 10 inches in height, slim build and short dark hair.
In the image, he can be seen wearing a dark hooded jacket, light grey t-shirt, blue jeans and dark trainers with white soles.
Detective Constable Euan Chancellor of the Violence Reduction Unit, Gayfield CID said, “This incident was highly distressing for the victim and we are eager to trace the man pictured.
“Knife-crime such as this is of the utmost concern to police in Edinburgh so I would urge anyone who may recognise him to get in touch with us as soon as possible.”
