Muslim Tech Fest announces £30,000 prize for the most promising startup

A game-changing opportunity awaits founders at Muslim Tech Fest (MTF) 2025, as the event hosts MTF Pitch, offering an uncapped £30,000 investment prize to the most promising startup.
This initiative cements Muslim Tech Fest’s commitment to innovation and catapulting Muslim-led startups onto the global stage.
Following sold-out events in London and San Francisco in 2024, Muslim Tech Fest has established itself as the premier platform for Muslim entrepreneurs.
Taking place at Novotel London West on the 21st of June in London, MTF 2025 will showcase cutting-edge startups, high-value networking, and an impressive line-up of speakers, including:
- Zubair Junjunia – Founder of ZNotes, with over 6 million users.
- Ahmed Khalifa – Founder of PurpleByte and web-accessibility expert.
- Mai Medhat – Exited founder.
- Mariam Ahmed – Co-founder of Menza, a YC-backed AI startup.
- Arda Awais – Award-winning Designer & Founder of Identity 2.0
Over the last few years, Muslim Tech Fest has consistently brought together some of the most influential Muslim founders and investors, reinforcing its reputation as the leading platform for Muslim entrepreneurs in tech.
At MTF San Francisco 2024, Haroon Mokhtarzada, co-founder of Rocket Money (formerly Truebill), shared his journey of scaling a $1.3 billion personal finance platform and achieving one of the largest exits by a Muslim founder.
Chris Blauvelt, founder of LaunchGood, spoke about the power of community-backed funding, reflecting on how the platform has raised over $688 million from 2.1 million donors across 155 countries.
Rama Chakaki and Raed Masri of Transform VC, a Silicon Valley-based impact-driven investment firm, led a discussion on Muslim founders shaping the future of ethical investing.
At MTF London 2024, attendees heard from Ismail Jeilani, co-founder and CEO of LiveLink, who shared his experience in landing $3 million in funding from investors including Google and Biz Stone.
One of the biggest highlights was a conversation with Ruhul Amin and Husayn Kassai, co-founders of Onfido, who spoke about building their AI-powered identity verification company, which was recently acquired as one of the largest tech exits of the decade in the UK.
Inspired by these success stories Muslim Tech Fest wants MTF Pitch to serve as a launchpad for up-and-coming businesses that are forging the future of tech and entrepreneurship.
Arfah Farooq, Co-Founder of MTF said: “Muslim entrepreneurs have the talent, vision, and drive to transform industries, and MTF is here to amplify that. With initiatives like MTF Pitch, we are not just talking about change, we are making it happen.”
Muslim Tech Fest 2025 is more than just an event—it’s a movement, driving investment, collaboration, and success for Muslim entrepreneurs worldwide. With an audience spanning founders, investors, technologists, and business leaders, Muslim Tech Fest is set to be a powerful platform for the next wave of Muslim innovators.
