The Asian Resource Centre Croydon (ARCC) is organising a special Navratri celebration for the diverse Asian community in Croydon.
The fun and exciting event will be held at Grand Sapphire, one of the most prestigious ball room venues in Croydon on Friday, 30 September from 7pm – 1am.
Navratri celebrations vary across different parts of the Indian sub-continent with a wide range of different cultural and religious rituals, observed by several communities. However, the common thread remains the same – a colourful family celebration of music and dancing.
Organised in collaboration with number of community groups and businesses, the aim of the event is to celebrate this special event with the participation of many in several activities including singing, dancing and colourful dressing and to spread the social message of respect, happiness and unity amongst the diversified Asian communities.
The celebrations will also include a competition for best dress/performance (male/female/children) who will get a chance to win an exclusive prize in front of the hundreds of people set to attend the event.
