Family of East Ham man worried sick after his disappearance

A 25-year-old man from East Ham, London has been reported missing since 10 am on the 16^th of April, with his family and friends left worried about his safety and whereabouts.

Asif Afzal, left for his daily walk on the day but never got back and has not been in contact with his family. He did not take his bank card and his phone is not working either. The young man was wearing a black hooded jacket, grey joggers, black trainers and was carrying a black backpack.

A close friend of Asif’s sister, Shumona, shared, “The police have had no leads as of yet. The family is not coping at all, they are out searching for him for most of the day. To my knowledge, this is out of character as he usually returns home.”

Asif’s cousin has appealed to people to inform the family if they have seen him as they are distraught on his sudden disappearance. She also requested everyone to inform more people as they are interact more during Ramadan and keep him in their prayers.
