Cake Box looks to create jobs as expansion is approved

Cake Box has been granted planning permission to expand its facilities in Manningham, a move set to create 15 new jobs.
The company applied to build additional warehouse space next to its existing site on Thorncliffe Road as part of its broader strategy to grow its presence in the North of England.
Bradford Council officers approved the application this week, paving the way for the development on the site of the former Adams Fast Food Supplies building—located near Bradford City’s Valley Parade stadium.
The building had been severely damaged by a fire in 2021, caused by a faulty electrical appliance. It remained derelict until late last year when the council approved its demolition to clear the way for redevelopment.
In its application, Cake Box described the expansion as “a significant capital investment in the area”, reinforcing its long-term commitment to growth.
The approved plans also include a seven-space car park at the front of the new building.
