Renowned Indian classical sarod players Amaan Ali Bangash and Ayaan Ali Bangash were recently seen mesmerising their audience with melodious tunes in London.
The brothers, who are the sons of the legendary Indian sarod player Amjad Ali Khan, performed at Taj Buckingham Palace, Suites and Residences on Wednesday, 11 January where the hotel’s Rendezvous event series was being held.
Several prominent guests attended the event including members of Taj’s own private members club, Taj, The Chambers; notable guests from the community, and key delegates of the State Bank of India (UK).
The Bangash brothers have made a name for themselves the world over and played the sarod at prominent locations some of which include the Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center, and the Royal Albert Hall during the BBC Proms last year.
Their father also graced the event with his presence as a guest of honour.
Both the music artists were recently announced as Associate Artists at London’s Wigmore Hall, prior to the Hall’s 120th anniversary celebrations. They have joined an incredible list of talented new Associate Artists which includes Lawrence Power and Gweneth Ann Rand.
The duo have committed to a five-year relationship with the Hall, and will perform at least once every season.
