Actress Alia Bhatt announces her pregnancy on social media

Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt and her husband actor Ranbir Kapoor announced that they will be welcoming a baby soon.

The British actress shared a post on Instagram on Monday to announce her pregnancy and let all her beloved fans know about the special news. The post included a picture of her at a hospital getting an ultrasound with Kapoor by her side with the caption, “Our baby ….. coming soon.”

The news about Bhatt’s pregnancy comes just two months after the famous couple tied the knot in April at a star-studded ceremony at their home ‘Vastu’ in Bandra.

Many fans from the UK and all over the world were shocked when they heard the news, but it has now become clear that Kapoor had hinted at being a father soon at a recent interview for his upcoming film ‘Shamshera’. He mentioned that he wanted to make a family after marriage but also looked forward to more film projects to be a part of.

Some of the couple’s closest friends, family and fellow actors from the industry congratulated Alia and Ranbir. Actress Priyanka Chopra commented, “Congratulations honey!! Yaaaay! Can’t wait”. Director Karan Johar wrote, “Heart is bursting”. Alia’s mother Soni Razdan commented, “Congratulations Mama and Papa lion”. Ranbir’s sister, Riddhima Kapoor Sahani commented on Bhatt’s post with various heart and kisses emojis. Ranbir’s cousin Karisma Kapoor expressed her excitement saying she can’t wait for the baby to arrive. She commented, “Awwww can’t wait congratulations to you both”.

Other actors including Anushka Sharma, Rakul Preet Singh, Pooja Hegde, Mouni Roy, Malaika Arora, Esha Gupta, Tiger Shroff, Farhan Akhtar, Sonakshi Sinha and others also congratulated them.
