CFO Jon Charters Visits EG On The Move Headquarters
Posted On August , 2025
Following the successful launch of this year’s summer safety campaign, Chief Fire Officer Jon Charters of Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service visited the Blackburn headquarters of EG On The Move, where he was warmly welcomed by CEO Zuber Issa CBE and members of his senior leadership team.
The visit served as an opportunity to personally thank Mr Issa and his team for their invaluable support in helping to promote critical public safety messages. Thanks to their generosity, digital safety adverts focused on wildfire prevention and water safety have been running free of charge across EG On The Move’s petrol forecourts throughout the North West, reaching thousands of motorists and members of the public each day.
During the visit, CFO Jon Charters and Zuber Issa discussed ways of strengthening future collaboration, with a particular focus on expanding digital safety campaigns beyond the North West and exploring opportunities to roll them out nationwide. These conversations are ongoing and reflect a shared commitment to keeping communities across the country safe.
CFO Jon Charters said: “It was a pleasure to meet Zuber and his team in person to express our gratitude for their incredible support. This partnership is a powerful example of what can be achieved when we work together.
The reach and impact of these digital safety messages cannot be underestimated, and we look forward to exploring how we can extend this work even further.”
In recognition of EG On The Move’s outstanding contribution to public safety, Jon Charters presented Zuber Issa with a commemorative plaque on behalf of Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service.
Zuber Issa CBE thanked CFO Charters for the work of the fire and rescue services across the UK and expressed his enthusiasm for exploring more ways to collaborate in the future. He praised the service’s dedication and impact, especially during times of heightened seasonal risk.
The digital safety campaign will continue to run until the end of August, as part of a joint effort by fire and rescue services across Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Cheshire, and Cumbria.
