In an unprecedented show of unity, more than ten UK-based charities and organisations are joining forces to raise awareness and funds for Gaza at this year’s Great Scottish Run 10K, taking place on Sunday, 5th October 2025 in Glasgow.

Led by The Well Foundation, the collaborative effort includes:

Islamic Relief, World Care Foundation, Muslim Charity, Sadco Foundation, Unity, SPMA, HIYA, Wheels to Heels, Sarwar Foundation, Mearns Cycle Group, and Glasgow Ansar.

With Boss Pizza and the Asian Business Chamber as official sponsors, and Oceanic Media as the official media partner, the initiative reflects a growing desire across communities to take meaningful, united action in response to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

“This isn’t just about running,” said a spokesperson from The Well Foundation. “It’s about solidarity, raising awareness, and showing Gaza that people thousands of miles away care deeply and are ready to act.”

Participants are encouraged to set their estimated finish time to 1 hour and 1 minute so they can start as a united group, amplifying their visibility and impact.

Recognising that not everyone can run, organisers have ensured walking groups and a dedicated Sisters group are also part of the event, making the movement accessible to all who wish to stand in solidarity.
