Islam Channel Business Awards confirmed for 2024

Islam Channel’s Business Awards 2024 will take place in London on 9th February next year, bringing together 1000 prominent members of the business community at the Hilton London Metropole.They will be joined by community leaders, ambassadors and politicians to celebrate the outstanding contribution of Muslim businesses to the British economy. The Islam Channel Business Awards is the largest ceremony of its kind and provides a significant platform for recognising the entrepreneurial accomplishments of British Muslims. It also aims to inspire and motivate future generations to excel in the business world.
Mohamed Ali Harrath, Founder of Islam Channel, said: “Entrepreneurship is a cornerstone of Islamic culture, history and tradition. Nominations are now open in 19 categories, representing the diversity, which makes up this thriving sector. Nominations are open until 11th December 2023 and represent the opportunity to join former winners and leading lights of the sector such as Wahed, Crep Protect, Islamic Finance Guru, Muzz and Spice Village.
Last year’s Islam Channel Business Awards saw the introduction of the Ihsan Award for Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion, which was won by Blackburn Rovers Football Club, for its dedicated work to welcome Muslim players and fans.
A judging panel made up of leading industry experts will shortlist the finalists, to be announced on 15th December. Those shortlisted will be invited to present to the judges in January 2024. The judging panel includes the Rt Hon Sir Stephen Timms, MP; Adam Ebrahim, CEO, Oasis Group Holdings; Afzal Majid Alimahomed, Shareholder EP Group; Baroness Uddin, Member of the House of Lords; Murat Bingöl, President MUSIAD UK, and Sir Iqbal Sacranie OBE, founding Secretary General of the Muslim Council of Britain and Special Advisor to Islam Channel.
He continued: “At times like the present, where Islamophobia is rising and attacks on Muslims are at an all-time high, it is more important than ever that media organisations such as ours should highlight the success of British Muslims and the huge contribution they make to the UK economy, estimated to be over £126 billion.”
The awards ceremony will be broadcast worldwide live on Islam Channel, the world’s leading English-language Islamic media platform, which has been broadcasting from London since 2004 and its sister channels: Islam Channel Urdu and Islam Channel Bangla.
