Scottish singer and songwriter Lewis Capaldi was spotted enjoying some Indian food with his large entourage before a concert in Birmingham.
The ‘Somebody You Loved’ hitmaker left his fans in the city stunned after he was seen at a popular curry house just about two hours before his concert was supposed to start.
Fans told the reporters that the star was seen pulling up in one of the three ‘flash’ Mercedes carriers, which were parked outside the Aroma restaurant in Solihull, West Midlands, while he and his friends were enjoying a group meal inside.
According to EdinburghLive, Derek Warren spotted him at around 8:00pm and said, “[It’s] not every day you come across the global pop star Lewis Capaldi at the local curry house.”
“It was last night at 8pm,” he added. “I’m guessing by the three flash [Mercedes] people carriers and drivers parked outside [that] he and his friends took over the restaurant for the night.
“He was happy when people asked him for a picture. It was nice to see.”
Capaldi, who has become very popular due to his musical talent and funny banter on social media, performed in Birmingham on the evening of November 12, alongside a host of other pop acts at the Free Radio Hits Live at the Resorts World Arena.
The huge line-up included well-known artists including Blue, Craig David, Dermot Kennedy, Ella Henderson, Ellie Goulding, Nathan Dawe and Sam Ryder. The 26-year-old also paid tribute to the iconic city establishment Mr Egg during his performance after being gifted a t-shirt by the show organisers. He also left a fan astonished after he “serenaded” her boyfriend and told him, “Hey, you look like me.”
