A sentiment that many British Asians can relate to is that there’s no other place like your home country.
Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra has expressed a feeling joy about returning to India after three long years.
In an Instagram story, Chopra shared a picture of the boarding pass of her USA-Mumbai flight and captioned it saying, “Finally… going home after almost 3 years”, adding a heart emoji at the end.
The superstar has been living in the US for several years. At the age of 12, she went to America to study. After a few years, she came back to India to start a career in Bollywood.
After gaining massive success and popularity, Chopra moved to Hollywood in 2015 to shoot Quantico, in which she played the lead role. Ever since, she has been juggling between India and the USA.
Priyanka is not just connected to the US on a professional level but also on a personal level, as she got married to American musician Nick Jonas, with whom she has a daughter named Malti Marie.
In January 2022, Chopra had announced that she had welcomed a baby girl with Jonas via surrogacy. On Mother’s Day 2022, Priyanka shared the first photo of her baby and revealed that the little one had to be kept in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) for 100 days under observation.
“On this Mother’s Day, we can’t help but reflect on these last few months and the rollercoaster we’ve been on, which we now know, so many people have also experienced. After 100-plus days in the NICU, our little girl is finally home. Every family’s journey is unique and requires a certain level of faith, and while ours was a challenging few months, what becomes abundantly clear, in retrospect, is how precious and perfect every moment is,” she had posted.
According to reports, Chopra is set to start filming Farhan Akhtar’s next directorial venture Jee Le Zaraa, where she is starring opposite Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif.
